I just fitted a new alternator to my 2.2dci Espace only to find that it still is not charging. If I touch my electrical tester screw driver to the small terminal on the alternator (Purple wire) it starts charging at 14 volts and will continue to work untill the car is switched off. Normally I would suspect the dash warning light but this car has a digital dash. Please can you help.
