1998 Renault Clio Two Wheel Drive Manual

good evening when i turn my headlights on the brake lights come on and stay on aswell. what could be the problem?

This kind of trouble typically happens with dual filament bulbs. One of the filaments crosses with the other of the two different circuits and they do just what you stated. Check the rear brake light bulbs for a crossed filament. If the bulbs are good then it is a wiring issue so check wiring at both tail light assemblies.
