Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Renault Clio 89,000 miles

My Renault Clio has started juddering when it's stationary. It feels like its about to stall or the powers going to cut out!!
A) How do i stop this?
B) Im having trouble with getting power on hill starts, could this be affecting it?
Obviously, i need this stopped but i dont want to change loads of parts on it uneccessarily.
Please help asap!
