Oil consumption

I have a problem with my car. My car consume oil 1,000 km one liter oil. My question is, I start engine with no noise but when T drive for about twenty minutes and the car is full warm I hear a rattle sound coming from right side passenger engine when I accelerate it rattles for four seconds and then again when I push the gas pedal. I stop the car in idle I push the gas pedal an it starts rattle again. When engine is cold it does not make any noise. I check the oil level in middle always I top up and light of the oil in dashboard does not come on. The car have good power but maybe the rattle sound is related to oil consumption? Please advise me, thanks.

Welcome to 2CarPros!

Given the mileage on the vehicle, I think it is safe to say that you are not burning oil. Not saying that it could not be but it is highly unlikely.

I was just looking at a picture of the engine on the side you indicated and one thing I was thinking is that the dipstick tube might be leaking at the base where it connects to the engine block. I have seen this a few times in my day. When the engine warms up the aluminum block expands at a greater rate that the steel dipstick tube and it could get loose and leak oil. That may explain the rattle too.

With the engine all warmed up, give the dipstick tube a wiggle and see if it is loose.

I could not see any drip of oil in the floor when I put the car.

With the engine warm, is the dipstick loose or tight? It would probably be best if you could warm up the vehicle and then open the hood and check for rattles while you or a friend varies the engine RPM.
