I'm still not sure how to get the screw out of the retainer clip. Is there something that pops up? There's no visible screw head.

If it's a plastic clip there should be a plastic head that's level with the clip. You should be able to pop this head up and it will release the clip so that it can be pulled out. Please let us know what you find out or how everything turns out.

There's a raised area that seems like it should pop up, but I cannot even get a box cutter under the raised area. It doesn't seem to be separate.
This should be easier to remove. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to cut it apart?
I also thought it was a clip, but in a photo of a new one, the back-side stuck part seems to be a metal screw. I've attached photos that I found online.

My original photos show a clear view of the front side, which I can access but not remove.

In the instructions that I previously sent, the vehicle manufacturer only states that there are screws, nuts, and push pin connectors that fasten the fascia to the vehicle, so these would have to be push pins. Usually you can get something flat, they actually make a tool for doing this that you can probably rent for a refundable deposit from your local AutoZone, under the lip and pull up on the push pin. This should lift the pin part and you should be able to then grab the pin and remove the whole pin assembly. Please get back to us with how everything turns out.

Yes, Steve! Agreed! But I finally got the clip off. I just had to really pry. I was afraid I'd break something, but it finally gave way with no incident to anything surrounding it.
