What do I need to do to find a remote start and install it?

Remote start systems are available aftermarket and can be purchased in many places. Here is the thing that I tell friends. It must be properly installed to prevent shorts. I've seen a few car fires resulting from improper installation or simply an inferior/faulty part.

Once you get the system, it needs to be wired into the ignition system. I can't tell you exactly what will need to be done because they are all different. Regardless, the new system should provide a wiring schematic showing how it's installed.
