remote start

My wife's car started when she got out of it and opened the trunk. she does not have remote start and the keys were not in the ignition. I am not sure what the sequence of button pushing she did. I have not tried to replicate it. Any ideas on how this worked?

That is a good one. Never heard of that problem but I am interested to see what it is. can you please see if the car will do it again. This will tell us if it is an intermittent or constant problem.

I have tried numerous button combinations but cannot replicate it. It has only happened the one time.
