Shows service traction and the tachometer suddenly stopped working after replacing crankshaft position sensor

I replaced the crankshaft position sensor from the mechanic. Now it shows service traction and the tachometer suddenly stops working. Sometimes it starts suddenly but sometimes it takes too long to start. Engine light is on but sometimes it goes off. Do know but to do with this car.

So if all you did was replace the CKP sensor and this started, the only thing that really makes sense is the sensor is either not correct for this vehicle or it is a faulty sensor.

I have seen some sensors that are just not built correctly so I would start with returning this sensor and have them exchange it. Then make sure the sensor is not for another engine and they looked it up wrong. Looks like the sensor for the 2.0L and 2.2L are the same 12588992, but this just seems like the sensor is functioning but with these odd issues it is like the sensor is providing irregular information. If the replacement sensor does the same thing or other issues that were not there, I would suggest changing supplier of the sensor.
