Hello, I have a Fiat Bravo T Jet 1.4. When I tried to start the car it started flashing engine light saying cylinder 1 misfire. I had a look at the first cylinder and I can see oil on the spark plug before this happened two days ago before I had topped up some engine oil, but I forgot I done this while the cars parked in the drive way on a decline. I think I put too much in. Please help as I am about to change my head gasket not knowing if this is the main problem.

May just be a leaking rocker cover gasket, these can cause oil to leak down into the spark plug tube. I would also replace the lead or the coil if this is a coil over plug engine, I have no information on this exact engine on hand just now to look at the system used, but if the spark plug is down in a tube in the head, go with the rocker cover gasket first.
