It is a 46re, A518. odometer is busted, miles unknown. New clutch plates and steels in about half of it. When I parked it there was no reverse. My reverse engages very well and is strong. Air checked servos and work great. Nothing noticibly wrong on valve body. When tires elevated the will spin in drive. With a little gas will get a half inch roll forward. Its facing uphill so it rolls right back even with constant rpm. I have reinspected it twice after the first failure, wrong spring inside the accumulator and replaced the two rings on the input shaft. I haven't rebuilt the valve body. 6 months ago I replaced all solenoids and sensors. The housing cracked on the connector that locks into the housing to plug outside next to the linkages, but at the plastic base and not anywhere it seems would harm the electrical current. The bearing for the shift engagement was sticking and I used emory cloth to make it just moveable to regain shifting. This leads me to lean toward the valve body as well. This is my first attempt at a transmission rebuild, any help is appreciated. Going to get a junkyard tranny and compare as I take it apart for correctness if no new ideas. I haven't had it tested since I couldn't drive it.

check to see if your governor solenoid is working you might replace it for better performance so scan for codes as well. try a Borg Warner aftermarket one. make sure everything is clean clean clean
