Wiper will not sweep across the window. i removed the wiper arm and the motor is turning for the wiper, but when i looked inside the wiper arm, i saw that the the groves that slide on the armar wore. I tried using duct tape , didn't last, as when you use the wipe , it wears down the tape. Even tried to tighten the 1/2 " bolt a little tighter, and worked for while,5-9 sweeps, shen stops. I was thinking of using JB Weld, but was a little leary that if i had to replace the motor, this would be frozen on the arm and would never be able to get the wiper off. Open for ideas. thanks

Hello, I'm Danny.

The grooves you speak of in correlation to the rear wiper motor and the wiper arm are splined fit. You cannot use duct tape to fix the slippage due to the splines being stripped on either the wiper motor or the wiper arm itself. I've attached below picture steps on how to replace the rear window wiper motor. Normally the window wiper arm will wear out first. Feel free to take a picture of the rear window wiper motor and arm to show us the damage. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
