Rear Shock absorbers?

2 days ago, i had my rear shocks replaced, one was leaking.
For a short time after the new shocks were fitted the ride was good but yesterday the ride became very rough, i can feel every bump in the road.
There is no noise from the shocks, and they return nicely when doing the push down test
I did not have a wheel alignment done and i am wondering if having the alignment done will help
I do not think it is a transmission problem because on a smooth road the drive is good
I have 4 new / good tires
2 months ago i had new front tires and alignment done.
any advice would help a lot.

Hi,

As far as alignment goes, that isn't the cause. If you have the front struts replaced, the alignment (camber) is changed and not the rear.

Here is the thing. If the shocks are tight and return properly, chances are they aren't the issue. Oftentimes, when one set is replaced (front or rear), it is at that point you notice the opposite shocks are weak. Until then, both are worn the same, so it isn't as noticeable.

When you feel each bump, does it seem like it could be the front? Do you feel it more in the steering wheel than you do in the seat or floor?
