When I picked up the car the driver side rear door also did not work and was dinging like the door was open. but after cleaning the contacts that seemed to resolve that problem and the door will open and close. However, the issue remains with the passenger rear door. They are telling me that I need to replace the power control module and that it's not related to them changing out the battery. The doors worked fine before the battery was changed out. Could this be a result of changing out the battery improperly?

Hello,

Lets check the fuses first. here is a guide and the fuse locations below to get us started:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

If the fuse is okay this can sometime happen when the battery is replaced due to a voltage surge as the system comes back online. It cannot be avoided. It sounds like the door module when out which is common on these cars here are diagrams and instructions on how to replace the module.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find.
