Rear Noise when turning right and over bumps

check wheel bearings or strut plate maybe also check control arm bushings as well as sway bar links. it may also be rust in the brakes causing it. the problem is that you are saying it's not there all the time so it makes it harder to diagnose without actually seeing it. From your description I'd go for a wheel bearing first though. Take the tire and rotor off and see if you can feel any roughness there. If this is AWD it may be something in rear end so check fluid level and for leaks.

I had a break job about a month ago. They changed everything, including the rotors. Now that you mention fluids, would that be the brake fluid or the power steering fluid? I remember reading something about that a low fluid could cause that noise too. I'll check the fluids in a while
The noise was there at one time and then went away. This time it is worse and has lasted longer. When I press on the rear left end of the car, however, I can't replicate the crunching noise.

brake fluid wouldn't do it , I meant if it was AWD to check fluid in rear end. when you check wheel bearing try turning strut as it may be the plate on top of the strut that is going bad. see pic or maybe the strut is loose on top from wear. but normally you can only check those when strut is off.

one thing I forgot to do is check tsb's and there is one for the rear suspension hearing a squeak or clunk the build date is 7/12/2004-9/21/2004 that build date sticker should be on door post drivers side. it's for a lower control arm bushing. not sure if dealer will do this any longer due to age but it doesn't hurt to call. pic shows new part numbers if you decide to do this your self or get the parts.

It was a broken control arm. The broken end was scouring the inside of the wheel

well that's a good reason least ou fixed it or are going to that can be very dangerous driving like that.
