Rear liftgate will not latch

Tailgate opens and closes both manually and electronically but will not latch. just beeps several times and stops. warning light on dash screen stays on.

Hi Lynda,

Sounds like the latch has just failed or the stricker is flipped closed. Try holding the liftgate partially open and operating the release handle. This should open the stricker if it is closed.

If not, then the latch will most likely need to be replaced. Here is the procedure on how to do that. Let me know if you need more information. Thanks
