My car's license plate light went out. How do I replace it? The back brake light in the back window went out at the same time. Where is the fuse box? Are they on the same circuit? I have a volt meter, but I don't know how to use it. Experience 0.

Hi Turbotail,

These two lamps come out of the same junction block but so do all the other brake lamps and rear exterior lamps so it is unlikely that the relay or wiring is the issue. How do you know they all went out at the same time? Is it possible that they have just all gone out since the last time you checked? If that is the case, I would suggest removing the bulbs and just making sure you have voltage at each lamp.

Here is a guide on how to do that. If you have power then you more than likely just need to replace the bulbs. However, I would think that you will find the bulbs burned out when you remove them. If you do then this is your issue. Let me know what you find. Thanks
