I am replacing the rear hatch handle. I have replaced it twice and it keeps breaking. So,I am doing something wrong. I believe either there is a small plastic clip that I may be missing or I am just not installing it correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Andrea

Hello, I'm Danny
Is there a chance you can take a picture of the piece that keeps breaking and upload it here for us to see? Also, Are you using a Ford factory replacement part or something from your local auto parts stores.Hope this helps and that we hear back from you soon. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

You are not doing anything wrong it is just a weak part. I would lube the latches and control rods to make the job as easy as possible to try and preserve the part.

So there is not clip-plastic, that goes anywhere near that area? The inside of the piece that breaks, has a hole in it but the rod does not fit into it.

Hello again.

Yes, that would be great if you could take close up pictures of the linkage/connection to the latch when installing new one and upload here. Look forward to hearing back so we can provide help. Thanks again for using 2CarPros.
