What rear end parts needed

I am trying to order parts for my truck, but the shop only told me it needs a rear end. I know they are doing that because I am wanting to purchase my own parts instead of them ordering them. I just cannot afford the mark up on parts. Is there somewhere I can get a diagram or a list of what all parts I need to order to replace the rear end?

All they told me is I need to get a rear end. I do not know what all parts are in the rear end and. If there is a diagram I can look at that would have all the parts.

I will get you a diagram of the rear.

How will you know what you need if you do not know what is wrong? I ask because you need more information before replacing anything.

I also suggest a second opinion on the diagnosis. Ask them for exact failures for the issue.

It is a 1500. They told me that the whole rear end needed to be replaced and I would just have to buy all the parts separately. I have an appointment with another shop tomorrow to see what they say.
