Rear caliper piston retraction

Passenger rear caliper piston won't retract into the caliper. Lisle piston cube doesn't fit this piston. I tried turning clockwise while pushing in on the piston with a pair of needle nose pliers. The piston rotates but doesn't retract. I have an Orion caliper tool kit on order. Looking for suggestions on why the piston isn't retracting and how to solve the problem.

Hello, usually when a piston won't retract into the caliper like this, since the piston does spin that means it's not seized, so it must be the rubber flex line to the caliper. If you open the brake bleeder screw you should be able to push the piston back in, but i don't think you will be able to bleed to the brake system, if no fluid comes out of that caliper, then the hose is collapsed inside. You can check this by just loosening up the next fitting on the other end of the flex hose. It should bleed fluid from there. Then you'll know that the hose to the caliper is no good, And the pads on that side will be less worn down too in most cases. I'm actually surprised on a 2018 that they still have such a basic system. Here's a guide to caliper replacement:
