Rear brake down to the axle, parts list.

Can you post the VIN as this will help find your information? my list only shows C3500HD with 6.5 or 7.4 engine, if yours is a four cylinder as you say, these may be different.

how to fill with what? do the lines need to be replaced? has there been anything else removed?

I am trying not to walk away from this as I want to impress my new boss, however, i never worked on drums before, I can confidently say that with the aforementioned Youtube video, install all that is needed. To the extent of my knowledge, i am missing the bearing, washers, keys.

Would you ID the parts here, and assess what else i need? Assume what you see is what is here.

Hello Ken. Checking in. I finally started going over the parts after self educating myself. i found that we are missing the 4 bolts of the PLATE BACKING to fasten it to the AXLE ASSEMBLY. would you be able to know where I can find this information?
Could you send me what bolt size/thread it is? i would like to pick it up from the Hardware store.

You should be able to tell by checking the hole size for the bolts probably 3/8 by 1 inch.

and there is no worry about thread size, compound, etc? is there a standardized 3/8x1"? i assume its 3/8 head with 1" depth.
if I wslk into a store, they would know exactly what i want?

It might take some trial and error but you should make sure they are grade 8 bolts

ill check yards around if they have any light trucks with similar design and borrow pieces. By the way, this is the first hurdle. I assume the first step is to mount the big round bracket frame.

Yes the backing plate is the first step.

Closing statement: I went to the dealership with the VIN. the car is a 94 GMC. they did not have some of the bolts. most of the parts are available. They DID however pull a schematic of an exploded rear brake system. with a numbered parts list. I need to bend new lines to the wheel cylinders, assemble the plate, shoes, seizing mechanism, axle. fluids, etc etc. I can post the paperwork if requested, so others can see this. have a blessed Holiday.
