There is a gap where the rear axle bearing meets the differential

My left rear axle bearing and or seal is messed up where it meets the differential I can see a gap. I'm wondering if I'll just need to replace the bearing and seal or he whole axle or what?

My name is Stephen,

I was wondering if you have jacked it up to check for play or it may be obvious.Here is a diagram and a removal guide it appears to be a hub assembly.Hope this is helpful please let me know what you find.
