I don't have any spark to the plugs. I put in new ignition module (inside the cap), new spark plugs and wires. It might be the ignition switch located on the steering column under the dash, however I can't figure out how to lower, or take out the steering column to gain access to the ignition switch. Please explain to me how it's done. Thank you.

Good evening,

I just wanted to add to the previous answer.

I attached a wiring diagram of the ignition switch for you to view.

You should have power to the positive side of the coil with the key on. Then use a test light on the negative and crank the motor and see if the test light blinks. That will tell you if the module is working.

How do I gain access to the ignition switch on the steering column underneath the dash? I took out the two big bolts, but the steering column does not lower. How do you lower the steering column? Thank you for all your valuable info. Robert Mason.

Okay, I attached the picture. Remove the 3 bolts marked number 6 in the picture. That should allow the column to come down.
