When I am accelerating from around 35 to 50 up a slight incline there is a vibrating rattle that sounds like a heat shield banging against the exhaust manifold. I have thoroughly inspected the heat shields I could see and reach but none of them are loose. I have also tried to duplicate at a standstill but I cannot figure out if it is the passenger or driver side. I also do not have a camera to mount underneath. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome to help me figure this out.

Hi,

It could be one of the catalytic converters has come loose internally. You wouldn't be able to see it, but they can make a rattling noise.

Take a rubber mallet and tap on the exhaust to see if you can recreate the sound. I attached a pic of their locations.

Also, make sure the same type of thing hasn't happened in the muffler.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care and God Bless,

Joe
