Hi,
That appears to be the windshield washer reservoir and pump. If you add washer fluid to it, does it go into that bottle?
Also, the one item that is disconnected is likely the washer hose that supplies the washer fluid to the windshield.
Try adding fluid to confirm that is where it goes and let me know what you find.
