i am installing a new radio and i would like to know if i am suppose to connect the negative wires to the negative or to the positive wires? i have all the wires connected negative to negative and it wont turn on.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. Do you mean the negative and positive speaker wires or the two power supply wires? There are no negative wires in the two radio plugs. The ground is the black wire that was clipped to the back of the original radio or the braided ground strap that was bolted on the back.
