Radio not working after replacing the battery

What does the radio do when you power it on? Does it say LOC or? Does the radio have the RDS logo on it?

It’s not in lock mode but all it says is the time, which it should have the radio station but it does not. None of the buttons work. I’ve already checked the fuses and they’re fine.

Okay, that sounds like a possible internal failure. However I would check that there is power at both fuses. If there is an issue with the RAP relay it could cause this. To test it you can use a test light at the RAO 1 fuse in the panel at the end of the dash. With the key on there should be power on both of the fuse tabs. If you find no power there it could be a bad RAP relay. If you start the truck then shut it off do the power windows still operate until you open a door?
If it does and you have power at both fuses with the key on then it's likely that there is an internal radio failure. To test farther you could pull the radio out and apply power and ground directly at the plug on the rear.
Removal isn't that hard, you remove the trim around the instrument panel then reach in on either side of the radio and push the release tabs and pull it out. The trim panel snap in place. If you have a tilt wheel put it all the way down, then block the wheels and put the shift lever all the way in low as well. Now gently pry out at the edges of the trim panel to release the clips.
