have this checked for a head gasket failure have it pressure checked first. Then there is a chemical they can add to check further.

when it is hot check radiator for cold spots if it has those as well as loose/green colored fins on edges and bottom or just cold spots then the rad is bad. I am assuming the thermostat is in good condition and not stuck and no leakage anywhere on engine like hoses or freeze plugs.

Hey John,
Have you checked the passengers side floor for coolant, sometimes when the heater core let's go it can leak there. Also can you do a chemical check for a blown head gasket?
