No. Just get the level lower than the hose that goes from the radiator to the reservoir, or plug the end of the hose with a bolt or something. Take the bolt out when done and reattach the hose. In the diagrams down below I have included the instructions for the removal and installation of the overflow reservoir for your vehicle. It does call for the draining of the coolant, but like I said, just drain so that the coolant level is below the hose and you should be fine.
