"Flat rate" is listed at 2.2 hours. That does not include additional services, removing broken bolts, antifreeze, etc. Often when cars get to be this age, the jobs are billed on the straight time it actually takes. That is because fasteners can break, electrical connectors and terminals may need to be repaired once they are disturbed, and things like that. A conscientious mechanic who has your best interest at heart will want to replace the radiator hoses at the same time, since they are already partially removed. He will also want to use new antifreeze unless the old stuff is not very old. The critical additives in it wears out in about two years, and reusing the old stuff can lead to corroded and leaking heater cores and radiators. This is already a real common problem on GM products that use the red Dex-Cool antifreeze.
