At first when I put my key in the computer says pull key out turn steering wheel to reset. I took it out of the ignition and now it turns on. just before it must crank there is no action, but when in push start it is starting. what can be the problem?

So the ignition cylinder itself does not turn, it is locked up?

I think it is. The cylinder I took the ignition of and open it. There was a small pin that stops the ignition to turn it pus the pin back and now the key is turning but at the end when you turn the key to the point that it must start it is just doing noting. just so you know my side window broke and the shattered glass went inside the door panel inside that sliding thing that makes that the door lock. so when I lock my car that door is not locked. And when I unlock my car and start it the computer shows the control alarm trip. do not know if that is information about the starting problem?

Yes, the system works together so that may or may not have something to do with it. It does sound like you have an ignition tumbler that is worn out and needs to be replaced.

You will need to get the new key recoded from the dealer when replacing the tumbler.

Please let us know happens so it will help others.

Best, Ken

GM Key cylinders come with a set of keys. You will have to have the dealer read your old set of keys so they can cut the new keys to the right pass key chip in the key.
