Do u know why my gas cap light displays on dash then shuts of and throws a CODE (CHECK ENGINE LIGHT) I intsalled a brand new cap still doing same thing

Yes, this means there is a leak in the EVAP system. Usually it will be the vacuum line or the canister is leaking itself. You can use a smoke machine to help find it. Please go over this video to see what I am talking about, the machine has an adapter to fit onto the gas fill tube.

I have also seen the O ring at the 90 degree elbow leak, here is the location of both so you can check it out. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
