I have a 2007 Mazda 3i 2.0, I am putting the engine out of my 2006 Mazda 3i 2.0, and replacing anything I question. I just installed a new rack and pinion and hooked the.lines back up and it looks as though the pump and reservoir housing is leaking. I tried snuggling up the bolts but it still seeps , I couldn't find a seal kit online and a replacement is $800.00 for pump etc, and my 2006 Mazda 3 power steering , excuse me my wife's lovely nightmare , that pump leaked everywhere, even inside the electrical connections were full of fluid.
Is there a seal kit or another rite to fix the leaks rather then replacing? The picture I have posted shows a little fluid by black bolts and bracket, however I just wiped it down clean and dry and zero fluid outside and now within 10 minutes.

Good morning,

I found a pump for around $300.00 for you. I attached it below.

I did not find a rebuild kit for this anywhere. I would replace it.

Roy

ELECTRIC POWER STEERING OIL PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF, L3]
1. Remove the under cover, splash shield and mudguard.
2. Remove the front bumper.
3. Remove the washer tank.
4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
6. After installation, perform the Electric Power Steering OIL PUMP (EHPAS) control module configuration procedure.

Transects seals actually makes the rebuild kit, most decent parts use there seals and it wasn’t a thought until I saw it on YouTube. I’ve called everywhere in Oregon about and online and to no prevail ,all they have is re-manufactured or new. but the kit for 2006- 2008 I believe the kit is a 8764 rebuild kit, it’s around $140.00 . It’s not a everyone at home can do, but that's on the person, it can be done , mines ordered.
