Runs really good lots of power until one half mile, then not enough power to move on flat land. Has a code 13 "cylinder head temperature sensor". Says in the book behind timing belt cover. It does not exist.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com. First, the sensor is located on the inside of the rear of the head between the head and intake. See attached pictures.

The attached pictures, 3 to 7 are a flow chart to help diagnose the problem.

Let me know if these help of if you have other questions. Also, I would like to know if you find the sensor.

Take care,
Joe

Check out the other engine diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Ken the picture shows the correct engine, but the code 13 says it is the cylinder head temperature sensor not the coolant temperature sensor. Are they the same thing? Thanks, Ken.
