The proper thing to do is diagnose the problem first, then replace parts, but if you have used parts available, replacing them is a quick and easy test. Next I'd be looking for broken and frayed wires between the door hinges.

For future reference, when you have just ONE window that doesn't work, even if it works from one switch, (driver's or passenger's), but not both ways with the other switch, EITHER ONE could be defective. Both switches have four sets of contacts inside. Two are used when the switch is pressed and the other two are used when the switch is released and the OTHER switch is being activated. Any one of those eight sets of contacts can prevent the window from going one way
