Power locks and power mirrors work, and I am able to operate rear windows locally and rear doors will trigger door ajar alarm. I have checked the wiring harness to both front doors and all the fuses. the only problem I can find is the insulation had worn down on the red/blue as well as the black wire so there was a small amount of exposed wire.

Hi,

The red wire with a blue tracer is a power supply, so use electrical tape to cover the damaged insulation. The black wire is ground.

Now, I attached the wiring schematic for the power windows below so that you have a reference. If you are certain the fuses are good and they have power to and from them, we need to move to the switches to check for power.

Let me know what you find. Also, here is a link you may find helpful. Note the wire colors for the power windows are different. Make sure you are getting the correct ones.

Let me know.

See pics below. Note that I had to cut the schematic in two so you could read it. I did overlap the two so you can follow from one to the next.

Hi,

By chance, have you checked to see if there is power to the switches that are involved?

Let me know.

Hi,

Okay, let's go back further. Did you check the fuses and confirm there is power to and from them?

Let me know.

Yep, I’ve checked any fuse related to the windows.

Hi,

If the fuses are good and have power but you have nothing at the switch, you have a broken or disconnected wire. Is there any evidence of damage where the wiring goes into the door?

Let me know.

There was a small amount of damage where the wiring harness connects to the cabin but I fixed that already.

Hi,

When you say it connects the cabin, do you mean where it goes between the door frame and the door? When you check for power, did you try moving the wiring around to see if there is power on and off indicating a broken or weak connection?

If you have, we need to start tracing the power wire back to the fuse to see where there is power. It's not an easy job, but that is what needs to be done. If you are using a test light for testing, you can pierce the wire insulation to check. Just make sure if you expose the internal wire itself that you protect it with electrical tape.

Let me know if you have questions and if I can help in any way.

Take care,

Joe
