Passenger side front power window not working

New motor and regulator. If i wire direct from battery, window goes up and down no problem. Back probing motor hookup shows 12v all the time. If you toggle window switch it shows 12v one way and nothing the other. Another weird thing is if you use battery and leave window down then plug up harness to motor and turn key forward window goes up by itself.

Good morning,

This sounds like a bad window switch.

Did you check the voltage from the switch when commanding up and down? There should be no power to the motor when the switch is centered.

I attached a diagram of the windows for you to view. Make sure there is no power to both wires going to the motor.

Yes. Probing passenger side harness i am getting 12v constant. Then rocking switch one way its still 12v then the other nothing.

I also tried back door switch up front on power and no change. I am thinking master switch.

I was using master switch to test this probing harness on passengers side.

Yes, it could be. If you changed switches, then yes, the only thing left to provide power is the master switch.

So correct me if i am wrong, but should there be constant power to passenger side switch all the time?

The switch, yes. the motor, no.
