Power steering pump comparison

I use a 2003 Alero for parts. The power steering pump in my car has a bad leak coming from the area where the switch is plugged in on the front. I want to swap it with the pump in the 2003 Alero but upon my inspection they look to shape the same but the 2003 Alero's pump does not have a place to plug in on the front like the pump in the 2003 Alero. I am a little skeptical as if it would work? Both are 3.4L engines.
