my truck listed above (k1500) pump has a pressure solenoid on it. can i put a steering pump that does not have solenoid on it on truck?

Well, the decision is yours. The pump you want to install has a pressure relief valve on the back, so you might have to fabricate somewhere from this power steering fluid to go or else it will just be pumped onto the ground. In the diagrams down below I have included a description of your vehicle's power steering pump. Please go through this guide and get back to us with what you are able to find out.
