The power steering pressure sensor (transducer) needs replacing. Ford part number f7cf-3k215bb is not available OEM, I did however, find part number 926-437 on the Dorman website, but although it looks the same, it says for Navigators only, not town Cars. Even Dorman tech support can’t help.
What could happen if I buy it and plug it in?

lol I like your username. I would give it a shot if it were the only thing available. Here is the location so we can be on the same page. It looks like a two wires sensor so I don't think any damage will happen. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.

Hi and thanks for the reply. I will give it a try. It sure does look like the old one. Maybe there’s a discrepancy in the parts catalog. As far as my username, what can I say, it’s one of my favorites, especially when the wife doesn’t feel like cooking! lol

So far, so good (fingers crossed), but I was wondering if there is a TSB that might address the discrepancy in finding the correct power steering high pressure sensor? Maybe something like changing the plug to accommodate the smaller sensor that all the parts catalogs specify? Thanks

Sorry, no TSB. If there is no problems you should be okay.
