Good afternoon,

You need to either get it from under the car or you will need to remove some items at the top and have very small hands.

I would suggest getting it from the bottom. It becomes accessible if you loosen the cradle (Sub-Frame) bolts and slightly lower the rear of the cradle to get access

1998 Chevrelot Cavalier.

Trying to replace the power Steering pressure hose, but I can't see how I get to the lower fitting in order to remove it, how do I access the lower end of the high pressure line in order to replace it.

you can acess it from the bottom. it is easier for us due to a lift. at home, it becomes more difficult. use a 18mm crow foot to loosen.

Well, I put the car on ramps, it still doesn't appear to be easy to get to, though maybe I am not looking at the right line. I'll see if I can take a picture and maybe you could show me how I get the crows foot in there.

it's pretty much cut and dried, especially with a line wrench are you turning it counter clockwise? that is the way it should go. Don' tknow what else to tell you

yes i turned the wing nut counter clock wise, i figured out how to remove the line thanks guys. I had to remove the fuel sensor located near the air intake and then i was able to slide a crows foot with a long extension onto the wing nut and remove it that way.

Removal/Installation

Disconnect battery ground cable to begin then raise the car up on jack stands. You will need to remove the pump is you cant get to the lines. Then use a line wrench and have a fluid catch can ready because fluid will leak out. Make sure you match the new lines to the old ones. When reassembled refill with fluid and you are all set, you might need to recheck the fluid level.
