Power steering leak

Hi,

There are o-rings on both ends of the high-pressure hose. If you look at the attached pic, it shows them and identifies them.

Now, the o-ring would be the first suspect, but the hoses themselves can leak at the crimp.

Thanks. And i guess the other hose goes from rack to reservoir?

I looked at part number of the first o-ring and I see it online but it says 388898s not just 388898, you think it makes a difference?

I also see the new hoses come with one o-ring for some reason.

I wiped everything off while it's on jack stands, started the car and saw where it was coming from, one of the bolts of the oil filter housing. so, I am guessing it is the culprit. I am sure this is easy to replace. Can you send instructions still? I am sure it can't be the oil filter itself but am changing it as well in case the rubber is opd.

I attached the directions below for you. When you do this, don't use anything too abrasive to clean the surface. It can damage the aluminum housing. Also, when you remove the oil filter, make sure the old gasket (o-ring) on the filter doesn't stick to the oil filter mount.

It's easy to miss a stuck o-ring. If you by accident double them, they will leak.

Stuck o ring on the oil filter?

LOL I call it an o-ring. The rubber round gasket between the filter and where it mounts to the housing. They can stick to the housing and when you install a new filter, basically you double gasket it.
