Power Steering Assist Fault?

I have the vehicle listed above non-Hybrid XLT model that started to shake the steering and then it became stiff. I replaced the power sensor, it didn't work, I replaced the complete column, and it didn't work either and the scanner doesn't indicate an error code in the car. I've already checked the 2 fuses, 80A and 10A and both are ok. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Hi,

Are you using a scan tool that can scan the can-bus? Also, there was a recall several years back related to the loss of power assist. I attached the information below. Take a look through it and let me know if that was already taken care of.

Thanks for the response Jacob. I checked the recalls carried out on the vehicle and there is only one recall open regarding the throttle body, it has nothing related to Power Steering. I have not used a can-bus tool. I read more about this problem and it seems that it causes a short circuit that causes the assistance system to stop working. I wouldn't want to spend a lot of money to repair the car, so I'm trying it myself. So far I spent 85us on the new sensor and 60us on a column in the junk-yard, but it still hasn't solved the problem. I believe I really need a more advanced diagnostic tool.

Certainly, a short in the wiring can cause issues. Did the information indicate a specific place to look?
