Power seat not working properly

I have not removed one on this specific vehicle, but I have found that on these vehicles it is far easier and quicker to just remove the seat and tip it backwards which will give you access to the motor.

Thanks. I don't see anything in the instructions about removing the motor itself, for the sliding motor.

Sorry about that. However, I just looked for it and it doesn't have a process for that. This is not uncommon with these types of components and the aftermarket manuals. They have how to remove a seat cushion but not this motor.

I was able to remove the seat from the track finally. The track on the left when i tighten the bolt in the back will move the track forward, but the other side won't move. There is a boot at the end of spinning threaded rod if you know what i mean. If it is stuck and would not move when i tighten it for it to spin, what would you do, am sure something is stuck in that track. Picture is just from the net to show that rod which at the end has a bolt which is not showing.

Just to be clear, one side of the track will move but the other side will not move when you are turning this bolt.

If that is the case then you are correct, something is binding causing this not to move. Does it turn in either direction? If not, then you are not going to hurt anything by putting a larger breaker bar on it and see if you can free it up.

Yes, one moves, one does not. I can loosen the bolt bit won't do anything. So, i want to put a force on it hopefully it won't strip anything.

Yeah. I don't think you have anything to lose. Basically, if the frame strips out and it doesn't work then you are going to have to replace it. However, if you don't do that then it is going to remain stuck, and you have to replace it.

So, I would give it a shot and see what happens.

This is a common problem turned out with these tracks, they are defective, I got it to move with the socket, but when I out it on and it doesn't, only one side, the other side moves when electric motor applied. can't find it used anywhere, only the passenger side, bummer. Can you find out if the part number for right is same for left? I am assuming no. I lubricated and cleaned it real good but still..

That is unfortunate but makes sense. Unfortunately, they are not reversable because the seat motor and switches mount to only one side. So that means you would need to spin it around and the bolts will not line up for the front holes of the track with the rear mounting location.

This was a challenge, but I got it fixed. So since only one track was stuck, I kept turning the rod back and forth for the length of the seat, spraying carb cleaner and Rust plaster spray, eventually it loosened up. But removing it was a pain since the fourth bolt was not showing, so if anyone ever faces this, remove the four nuts that hold the track to the seat and lift the seat. Put it all together and it works. Thanks for the help.
