Drivers seat binds on front/back function. Dropped seat back. Right side worm gear is not moving the right slide. Can rotate by hand without turning motor. Stripped gear I would think. I do not see how to remove/replace this part. Dealer wants $600.00 to replace entire power unit. Can this part be replaced?

Hello, I am Danny.

I have attached a blown up picture for you to look at. Can you give me an idea as to which motor you're referring to? Hope this helps and get back to me when you can. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

The very front motor drives the front/back seat function. A shaft runs to the left and Ishtar worm gears to turn the gear. Motor runs but the right side does not spin. Assumption is that the gears connecting the motor to the worm gear is broken. I cannot see how it can be removed or replaced.

The seat motor unit is built as a module so you will need to use some imagination and probable some machine shop skills to take it update to fix it but when you get it part upload images so I can help walk you through I can do machine work as well.
