no power on acceleration?

would cause my car to not have power when I step on it (nowhere near what it use to)? also sometimes when I push on the gas it doesn't seem like it registers and then all of a sudden will accelerate but after hesitation. Driving uphill it loses power too and takes a lot to get it to make it up a bigger hill.

Yes this sounds like you have a clogged catalytic converter, bad fuel pump or MAF sensor, or even a bad fuel pressure rail sensor. So we need to start by running the codes, this guide can help:
