Power folding mirrors not working properly

Hi,

Looks like each mirror has its own motor so if they are both making a grinding noise, I would suspect the motor has failed on each side. However, this is unlikely to happen at the same time.

Are both making the noise and did it happen at the same time?

I just recently bought the car and they have not worked. so I can’t say much about when they stopped working. It sounds like the sound is primarily coming from the drivers side mirror but neither of them fold. Is replacing the motor easy enough or am I going to have to take the whole door apart?

Unfortunately, you do have to remove the door panel however, these are not too bad.

I also attached the document from the manual but unfortunately this is not terribly detailed but it shows the location of all the clips.

If you don't feel comfortable doing it, it is probably best to have someone else do it because they can break and they are not cheap.
