Power electrical windows not working properly

Hi,

There are four fuses and no relay related to the power windows. See pic 1. Make sure both are good and have power both to them and out from them. Remember, a fuse can look good and be bad.

Pics 2 and 3 show the entire wiring schematic for the power windows. Note that I am making the assumption that this is not a convertible. Also, I highlighted the power supply to all window motors/switches. What is a bid difficult to understand is that this. Power goes to the motor before the switch. The switch provides a ground path based on your selection which actuates a motor. What I would start with if the fuses are good is to see if power is making it to the motors.

Next would be to check grounds, but what you described doesn't make sense that it would be a grounding issue because there are separate grounds for each window.


If you find there is power to each motor, then I would suspect it is a bad main switch (driver's side).

Do these checks and let me know what you find.

Really thank you. I will check it today .
It is not a convertible is a sedan model.
The motor should work just fine cause if i try to go up and down for the passenger's windows from driver button it work but if i try to go up and down for each window on individual button it doesn't work.
Ex- from driver side i can control all 3 windows of passenger's but i cant control the driver window. And this is the same for passenger windows they can be controlled from driver button but not from their individual button.
I will try to see the fuses that you say hope i find something.
I haven't seen the wires that are between driver door and car body someone told me to check that cause that control all the power of other doors too.

Hello, i checked all the info's. First fuses are all good and power goes to fuse without a problem. Power is going to motor that's cause feom main switch i can control all other windows but not the driver window. so that means power goes to the motor. Now i will go to buy a new main switch driver side so i can see if the problem is with the driver switch but what i can't understand is if i can control the other windows from main switch but can't control them from their personal switch why the problem should be with main switch? Does it provide power for other switches? I didn't understand that sorry.

If power is going to the motor from the switch and it doesn't respond, then the motor is bad. If the switch has power but doesn't send it to the motor, then the switch is the likely issue.

Do you mean there is power from the switch to the driver's side window motor? Did you check for power at the motor as well?

I'm trying to understand it sorry maybe i'm not a professional.
I think motor is good for the only reason cause for example if i try to send down or up the passenger window from main switch(driver side) it work but if i try to do this from passenger switch button it doesn't do nothing doesn't work.
Not all switches (main switch driver side and passenger switch buttons at all doors) have a little light on button it is lighting up that mean it get power or i am wrong ?
I'm trying to find how to see if power goes to motor but still can't find the positive and negative cause it have so many pins .
I will try again today if i cant find i will send to an auto shop (but here are just 3 of them and usually they don't have time to check)

No problem. You could be a professional and this would still be difficult.

If you are getting power to turn on the light, then yes there is power. At the motor, I don't have a pinout. However, if you look at the schematics I attached, try to locate the wires by color at the motor.

I tried to add power 12v dc directly from a voltage apparatuses that support 15 v and up to 3am and yes it click i tried to see if power comes from cables in same case it got power example pin 3 was 0v and pin 5 was around 6v the others was 12.4v.
