Does the positive cable go to the alternator or does it go to the transmission:?

There's over a mile of wire on your car. Which cable are you referring to? The positive battery cable goes to the starter solenoid. A smaller wire is tapped off from that stud that goes to the generator. Another wire feeds the car's fuse box.
