need a diagram for position of hydraulic lifters on a flex engine 5.3L.

By flex engine are you referring to the Active Fuel Management engine? If that is the case, cylinder 1,4,6,7 are the AFM cylinders. It is also called Displacement on Demand system. I attached the info about the system for your review. Let me know if you need more info about this. Thanks
