1984 Porsche 944 Oil Light

I have a 1984 Porsche 944, runs GREAT, although when I step on the clutch and the car is just idling the oil light comes on...what might the problem be? (it doesn't happen all the time either)

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge,if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearing.
